Fish and Seafood
Fish and seafood are high in fat, vitamin B, potassium, and selenium and low in carbohydrates. Fish such as salmon are optimal for the ketogenic diet (2).
With seafood, you have to be a little careful because they have different levels of carbohydrates. Shrimp and other crustaceans, for example, contain almost no carbohydrates, while clams and mussels have more (3).
So seafood is suitable for the ketogenic diet, but it should pay attention to the carbohydrate content.
