12. Drink less alcohol
Alcohol contains a lot of calories and inhibits fat loss. Take a minute to write down how much beer, wine, and cocktails you consume in a week.
Here’s a little math, especially for men: two beers a night add up to just under 2,000 calories in a week, which is about a day’s worth of calories. To work those off, you’d have to jog fast for two hours.
Try to abstain completely from alcohol for a week. Then, see if you can get by with just one or two glasses of alcohol a week in the long run.
And if you do drink, switch from beer to dry red wine, or even better, to wine spritzers.
