Improve skin elasticity
Elasticity is linked to collagen, which helps repair damaged skin and holds skin and muscle tissue together.
Vitamin C now takes on producing collagen and elastin, among other things, in our bodies. The more we have of these two, the firmer our skin becomes.
Hence the tip: incorporate more citrus fruits and red, orange, and yellow pigmented fruits and vegetables into your diet.
Another important vitamin: vitamin E. It acts as a powerful antioxidant and increases the quality of collagen and elastin. It’s best to reach for hulled sunflower seeds, almonds, and wheat germ to replenish your vitamin E-stores.
The effect of vitamin D, which is found in avocados, nuts, and seeds, should also not be underestimated: It supports new skin cells’ growth and has an anti-inflammatory effect.
