7. Massages with rosemary oil
A massage alone stimulates the blood flow, and rosemary oil even intensifies the effect. Rosemary can also be effective in preventing tension.
Massage alone improves flow yet adding a few drops of rosemary essential oil amplifies results by constricting then dilating blood vessels locally. Rosemary’s camphor and cineole compounds stimulate circulation when massaged into legs, hands or feet.
One study had 36 participants receive daily rosemary versus chamomile versus control oil massages over 3 weeks – rosemary treatment reduced swelling and tenderness most effectively. For beautiful, scented self-care at home, ensure safe dilution in a carrier oil before use on skin.
