2. Eggplant
Just like potatoes, eggplants produce weak neurotoxin solanine. However, in small quantities, solanine has no severe consequences.
If you eat a lot of raw eggplants, you may experience headaches, gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, and even vomiting.
The FDA, therefore, advises against eating raw eggplant – and still gives drastic consequences of solanine.
So always prepare your eggplants in the pan or the oven.
